Sustainable and Ethical are the it words at the moment. People are beginning to realise that if we continue to live the way we are living then our children and the next generation will not be able to live as frivolously as we have. We are using up so much of natures gifts that they are nearing extinction. So now people are looking into ways we can start using less of natures gifts whilst still being affordable and cool. Cool being the keyword here, especially when it comes to fashion. Sustainable and ethical clothes may not spring into mind when looking at the next best thing to buy but designers are now looking to change that mindset. They are constantly looking at more ways to be more efficient whilst still creating creative and innovative designs. Companies are popping up everywhere to consult brands in how they can be more green. Say good-bye to black, Green is the new it colour. There is island of the coast of Norway which is 100% green. Copenhagen have set themselves a target of having 50% of their population to be riding bikes as there main mode of transportation. So if places like these can do it, why can't the rest of the world?
I am currently on a journey learning all about sustainability and ethics in food, fashion and travel which will lead me to creating a project coinciding with my discoveries.
