"Kate Wolfgang Savage is a contemporary conceptual naturalist. Her drawings and paintings combine images of the figure and landscape. She lives and paints Venice, California.
Kate was home-schooled in rural New Hampshire as a child. She attended Skidmore College on a scholarship and graduated first in her class with a degree in fine art. Her studies in representational drawing and painting continued at The Art Students League of New York and Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia."
I first saw Kate's artwork featured on The Bohemian Diesel's blog (one of my favourite places to go to for inspiration) and I was blown away by how detailed and exquisite her drawings are. They're so lifelike, I'm so in awe of her talent. I like the naturalist theme to her work, staying true to her own signature style that if I was to go into an art gallery I could pinpoint her work out from a mile away. All I need now is one of her artworks printed and hung up on display in my bedroom so everyone can be blown away like I am.
